People decide whether to trust you before they read a word

Award-Winning Brand Photographer
Hello, I’m Kim
Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I spent fifteen years in healthcare marketing. That whole job was one question: how do people decide who to trust?
I think about your photos the same way. Not whether they're pretty, but whether they make the right person stop and think, she's the one.
There's a second reason I do this work. For most of my life I couldn't stand being photographed. I grew up with a lot of criticism about my body, and it stuck. I was forty-four when I set up a camera and started taking self-portraits, mostly to practice what I'd been learning about posing and light. I fully intended to delete every one of them. Instead I looked at those photos and saw my own beauty for the first time. I kept several. I still take self-portraits to remind myself of my inherent beauty.
So when you tell me you hate having your picture taken, I'm not going to talk you out of it. I already know exactly what that feels like, and I know what it takes to get to the other side of it.
Step into the chapter you've already earned.
Standing in front of a camera can feel like a lot, even when you've got it together everywhere else.
But here's what I've noticed. Give yourself real support. A makeup artist. A stylist who's got your back. Room to relax. And something shifts.
You stop thinking about how you look. You start seeing what everyone else already sees.
That's the portrait I'm after. Not a pose. Just you, finally matching the person you've already become.
And when that photo is out in the world? People notice. They reach out. They remember you.
That's not magic. That's what happens when your picture tells the truth about you.
Most photographers only work where they live. I split my year between three cities and travel beyond them when it's the right fit. Earlier this year I flew to LA for a branding session.
Richmond knows me best, seven years running as Best of Richmond. Denver and Scottsdale are getting to know me, and I'd love for you to be part of that.
Currently scheduled in:
Denver, CO: May 11 through September 27
Richmond, VA: October 24-29, 2026
Scottsdale, AZ: October through April 2027
Not on the list? Ask me anyway.

Three cities, and I travel for the rest.
A Different Approach to Brand Photography
Most branding sessions start with you showing up and hoping for the best. Yours won't.
Before I pick up a camera, you'll have a full plan for your session. Outfits, locations, pacing, all decided ahead of time. It takes me hours to build, and it means you spend zero energy guessing once you get there.
You'll also have a stylist and a hair and makeup artist that day. Booking those three people separately would take you weeks and cost more. Here it's one day, already handled.
What you get back are 50 branded portraits that tell your story, not just show your face. That's the difference between a photo that looks nice and one that does something for your business.
-
We'll start with your brand's story, your goals, and where these photos actually need to work for you. Website, LinkedIn, press, speaking, wherever they're headed.
Then you'll meet with my wardrobe stylist to build five outfits that fit your brand and feel like you.
From there, I map out the whole day. I spent years as a process engineer before this, and it shows up here more than anywhere else. Nothing about your session day is left to chance.
-
First, hair and camera-ready makeup. Nothing overdone, just you looking like yourself on a great day.
Then I’ll photograph you. I'll gently direct you the whole way, so you're never standing there wondering what to do with your hands. We'll find poses that fit who you are, rather than a stiff, generic setup.
Most people tell me the nerves are gone within the first twenty minutes. What's left is usually a lot of laughing.
-
About a week after your session, you'll get a gallery of around 200 images. We can go through them together, and I can help you determine which ones will work the hardest for you.
You pick your favorite 50. Those are the ones I edit, start to finish.
What you end up with is a library, not a handful of headshots. Enough range in outfits, settings, and mood to carry your website, your social, and your marketing efforts.

Let’s Capture the Real You!
Picture this. You walk out of your session lighter, more like yourself than you've felt in front of a camera in years. That shift is the part of this inner work I love most.
I'm Kim Brundage, an award-winning traveling brand photographer. Your photos shouldn't look like a polished stranger. They should look and feel like you on your best day.
I built this whole experience, the planning, the team, the direction, around one goal. You're actually enjoying it, not just getting through it.
