About Kim

I help established entrepreneurs see themselves clearly, because that's exactly what comes through to everyone else who sees their work.

Photography changed my life before it became my career.

I grew up not really seeing my own worth. It wasn't until my mid-40s that things shifted, and it started in an unexpected place: taking self-portraits. Something showed up in those photos that I hadn't been able to name before, but I recognized it the second I saw it…My inherent beauty and confidence.

That moment became my passion and work.

Now I photograph people who are growing, changing, or stepping into a bigger version of themselves, and I help them see what everyone else already sees in them. And I give “Body Image and Confidence” talks to young girls.

At the heart of it, here's what I believe. I photograph people in the moment they stop performing and start being themselves.

That's not just something I say. It's how I actually work. I build a space where you feel safe enough to drop the performance, the careful angle, the practiced smile, and just be there. That's when the real branded portraits happen.

Today, I work with established entrepreneurs who already know what they've built. My job is helping them see themselves the way their work already deserves.

What Makes My Approach Different

Most photography shows what someone looks like. I'm after something different. I want your photos to show who you actually are, whether that's a personal brand session, a corporate headshot, or something more personal, marking a new chapter in your life.

I do this work on the road. My husband and I live in an RV, and I split most of my year between Denver, Scottsdale, and Richmond, VA, with sessions elsewhere by request. Wherever I am, the approach stays the same. One photographer, one process, the same eye for the moment you stop performing and start being yourself.

I also invest my time in community projects.

My Identity RVA project was inspired after witnessing how our political environment was dividing us. I wanted to celebrate what we all have in common, despite our differences. Please visit my Identity RVA page to learn more.

I’m also a big believer in giving back. I invest my time and talent in helping amazing non-profits and cause-driven organizations to fulfill their missions. Girls For a Change is an organization that I am grateful to lend my support. Girls For A Change was formed in 2000 with the mission of empowering young women by inviting them to design, lead, fund and implement social change projects that tackle issues girls face in their own neighborhoods.

In addition to my work behind the camera, I am passionate about Body Image and Confidence.

Sadly, we live in a culture that makes it hard for girls and women to feel confident about their bodies and self-image. I speak to audiences about body image and how we can create a more positive and empowered perspective about ourselves. This passion drives me to empower my clients in every photo shoot, so they look and feel their best from the inside out.
