I recommend updating your headshot every 1-2 years. We all morph a little, and/or our hairstyles change. Clothes come in and out of fashion.
It is essential to have your headshot be consistent with your current look. Plus, you're leaving with images that will engage your ideal clients.

Honestly, this is the most common thing I hear before a session. Almost everyone feels this way, even people who seem completely confident in every other area of their life.
Here's what I want you to know. I've photographed hundreds of people who swore they weren't photogenic. Every single one of them left with photos they loved. That's not luck. That's the work I do before we ever pick up a camera, understanding your story, your angles, the light that works for you, and how to create a space where you can actually relax and be yourself.
When you feel like yourself, it shows. That's the whole secret.

For branding clients, Kim will share an online gallery with you and schedule a Zoom call to review it and help you select your favorites. Kim will also make image suggestions based on your marketing needs.
For my headshot clients, you'll see the images right after Kim captures them and select your favorite or favorites right then.

I do. Every session includes a wardrobe stylist and a hair and makeup artist, so you don't have to figure any of that out on your own.
Before I even pick up a camera, I build you a full plan for your day, outfits, direction, pacing, all worked out ahead of time.
From there, you get a gallery of unedited images to choose from, and I personally edit your favorites, start to finish. The whole thing is handled, beginning to end.

Yes. I'm based across three markets, Richmond, VA, Denver, CO, and Scottsdale, AZ, and I travel beyond that too.
Earlier this year, I flew out to LA for a branding session. If you're not near one of my regular markets, reach out anyway. I'll likely come to you.

Almost everyone does, even people who are confident everywhere else in their lives. That's exactly why I built the whole experience around it. A stylist and hair-and-makeup artist get you ready first, so you're not thinking about a single detail.
Then I gently guide you through the session itself, so you can actually relax into it rather than hold a pose. Most clients tell me the nerves are gone within the first few minutes.
What should I wear for my branding session?
When you sign up for your Branding session, a professional wardrobe stylist will assist you with this decision. Our stylists will do a one-hour Zoom call to help you select five head-to-toe outfits. Our stylists consider any special needs, including brand colors or props you want to include in your photo session. They also know which style of photographs best enhances your beauty. Before your session, your stylist will send Kim a few quick shots to help her better prepare to capture you at your best.

What should I wear for my Headshot Party?
When you sign up for your Headshot party, you'll receive a headshot guide on what to wear and how to prepare best for your session. We suggest vibrant colors you get complimented on or are in your brand colors, V-necks because they complement your face. Bring a couple of selections with you, and our wardrobe stylist is on hand during our headshot parties to assist you in choosing the best option from what you’ve brought to the session.
